Prayer of Supplication | Tracy

Almighty and everlasting God, who established the new covenant of reconciliation through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, who pours out the spirit of grace and of supplication on all who desire it: Deliver us, when we draw near to You, from coldness of heart and wanderings of mind, that with steadfast thoughts and kindled affections we may worship You in spirit and in truth; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Psalm 100 NIV | Tracy

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
    Worship the Lord with gladness;
    come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
    It is he who made us, and we are his;
    we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving
    and his courts with praise;
    give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
    his faithfulness continues through all generations.

[Spiritual Practice] Breath Prayer | Trevor

LEAD: God of the insurgence, we stand humbly before you now.

ALL: You are here with me and I'm here for the "other."

LEAD: We confess to You that we have a tendency to sit with whom we’re comfortable with, to be in relationship with those who are most like us.

ALL: You are here with me and I'm here for the "other."

LEAD: Your kingdom, your revolution is different. It is a call to be different and look different.

ALL: You are here with me and I'm here for the "other."

LEAD: Help us make room for everyone in our family, our community.

ALL: You are here with me and I'm here for the "other."

LEAD: As we sing, grant us ears to hear your voice, your whispers of grace and love to your beloved children.

ALL: Amen.

Prayer of Response | Aaron

Grant us, Almighty God, that the words which we have heard this day with our ears, may, through Your grace, be so grafted inwardly in our hearts, that they may bring forth in us the fruit of good living, to the honor and praise of Your Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Benediction | Tracy

May God bless you with discomfort at easy answers, hard hearts, half-truths, and superficial relationships so that you may seek truth boldly and live from deep within your heart where God’s Spirit dwells.

May God bless you with anger: at injustice, oppression, and exploitation of people, so that we may work for justice, freedom, and peace.

May God bless you with tears to shed for those who suffer from pain, rejection, starvation, and war, so that we may reach out our hand in comfort and turn their pain into joy.

May God bless you with enough foolishness to believe that through Jesus Christ we’ll have the strength and power necessary to create change in this world and in our neighborhood, so that together we will courageously try what others claim cannot be done.

May God bless you with remembrance that we are called to continue God’s redemptive work of love and healing in God’s place, in and through God’s name, in God’s Spirit, continually creating and breathing new life and grace into everything and everyone we touch. Amen.
